Baking & Ordering FAQs

  • Is everything gluten-free?
Yes. All of our breads and baked goods are made gluten-free.

Do you use wheat or gluten-containing ingredients?
Some of our products contain gluten-free wheat starch, which has been processed to remove gluten and is considered safe for many people with celiac disease. This ingredient is clearly noted on product pages and ingredient lists.

    Is your kitchen dedicated gluten-free?
Our products are made in a gluten-free cottage food kitchen. However, they are produced in a home environment and may not be suitable for individuals with severe allergies.

Is this safe for people with celiac disease?
Many customers with celiac disease enjoy our bread without issue, including products made with gluten-free wheat starch. That said, individual sensitivities vary, and we encourage you to reach out if you have specific concerns before ordering.

  • Do you use artificial preservatives?
No. We do not use artificial preservatives, conditioners, or fillers. Our bread is baked fresh in small batches and meant to be enjoyed fresh or frozen.

    Do you provide nutrition labels?
We do not provide full nutrition facts panels. Instead, we focus on transparency through detailed ingredient lists so customers can make informed choices.

Are any of your breads high in protein?
Some loaves are made with protein-rich grains and seeds, offering a more nourishing, satisfying bite. We describe ingredients and baking methods rather than making specific nutrition claims.

Where do you source your ingredients?
We prioritize high-quality gluten-free flours, whole grains, seeds, and simple, recognizable ingredients. When possible, we use local and organic ingredients and note them in product descriptions.

  • How should I store my bread?
For best freshness, store your bread in a paper or linen bag, or in a bread box, where it will stay fresh for 3–5 days. This allows the bread to breathe while protecting the crust and crumb.

    Can I refrigerate the bread?
Yes. If you’d like a longer shelf life, you may store your bread in the refrigerator. If using a container, place a paper towel over the cut end of the loaf to help absorb moisture and prevent the crust from becoming soggy during extended storage.

    Can I freeze the bread?
Absolutely. For storage beyond 7 days, freeze bread in an airtight bag. We recommend slicing the loaf before freezing so you can easily reheat individual slices as needed.

How do I refresh crusty loaves?
To revive crusty loaves, warm them in a 350°F oven for 5–10 minutes. With proper care, your bread will stay fresh, flavorful, and delicious.

  • What is the bread subscription?
Our bread subscription offers a steady rhythm of freshly baked bread at a better value, with monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly options available.

Why are subscription loaves priced lower than individual loaves?
Subscriptions allow us to plan our bakes more efficiently and reduce waste, which lets us offer better pricing to members.

    Can I choose my flavors?
Yes. Subscription members select their preferred loaf flavors and pickup or delivery options at checkout.

What happens in months with five weeks?
Some months include an extra baking week. When that happens, longer-term subscription members may receive an additional loaf pickup at no extra cost.

  • Where do I pick up my order?
Pickup locations and times are listed at checkout and included in your order confirmation.

    Do you offer delivery?
Yes. Local delivery is available for an additional fee. Delivery options are shown at checkout.

What happens if I miss my pickup?
Because our products are perishable, missed pickups are not refundable. Please contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate an issue.

Can I change or cancel my order after checkout?
Changes may be possible with advance notice. Once baking has begun, we may not be able to accommodate changes or cancellations.

  • What does “cottage food” mean?
Cottage food businesses are home-based food operations permitted under Georgia law. Products are made in a home kitchen rather than a commercial facility.

Are your products inspected by the state?
No. As required by law, our products are made in a cottage food operation that is not subject to state food safety inspections.

    Required Disclosure:
MADE IN A COTTAGE FOOD OPERATION THAT IS NOT SUBJECT TO STATE FOOD SAFETY INSPECTIONS.
